4 Afforadable Luxury Places To Stay In Bali, Indonesia
Luxury on a budget in Bali is easier than most people realize. You often see influencers posing by infinity pools in the jungle, sipping exotic cocktails, and it might seem out of reach. However, in Southeast Asia, you can find yourself at a 5-star resort for the same price as staying at a Best Western in any major U.S. city. Bali and its neighboring islands are known for their stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and serene landscapes, offering incredible accommodations without breaking the bank. Whether you’re lounging by a private pool, indulging in spa treatments, or enjoying gourmet dining, Bali’s affordable luxury spots will make you feel like a million bucks without spending it.
Dive into my top picks for affordable luxury accommodations in Bali and get ready to elevate your travel game!
Note: This guide is specifically aimed to encourage how to find affordable luxury accommodations during the low seasons!
1. Ohana’s Beach Front Resort — Nusa Lembogan
Just a quick hop from Bali, nestled on the idyllic island of Nusa Lembongan, Ohana’s Beachfront Resort offers the perfect blend of chill vibes and top-notch amenities. Ohana’s is all about sustainable luxury, incorporating eco-friendly practices to keep this paradise pristine. The resort is also conveniently located beachfront, so you can enjoy Indonesia’s crystal-clear waters and legendary sunsets!
Stay in Style
Choose from cozy Deluxe Garden Rooms, chic Pool View Suites, or splurge on a Private Villa. The Aqua Nusa Collection villas are pure bliss for those craving a private retreat and are picture-perfect from top to bottom. All accommodations are fully equipped with everything you need, along with 24/7 staff to make sure you’re well taken care of. I ended up booking their Pool View Suite and loved everything about it. Being able to wake up and walk right out to paradise was a game changer! Plus, if you’re into photo ops, they’re around every corner of this place!
Beach Club Bliss
Their beach club is the ultimate hangout, featuring multiple pools, comfy daybeds, and jaw-dropping ocean views. One of their pools even has a swim-up bar where you can sip on handcrafted cocktails and have them whip up a tropical smoothie for the younger ones.
Adventures Await
Whether you’re into snorkeling, diving, island-hopping, or sunset cruises, Ohana’s has you covered. They even offer wellness retreats and event packages, making it a fantastic spot for weddings or group trips. The best part about staying on the island is that you’re always on “island time,” which means you can book activities on your schedule. Whether it’s the night before or the day of, there’s always something happening, relieving you of the stress of having to plan everything ahead of time. I’d highly recommend booking the Manta Bay snorkeling tour—if you’re lucky, you might even get to swim with massive eagle rays!
Ready to pack your bags? Visit Ohana’s Beachfront Resort to book your stay. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this slice of tropical heaven!

*Pricing varies heavily depending on the time of year you visit and which accommodation you choose. When I went, I split the room with a family member, and we paid $60 each per night. The best time to go is from November to January, when it’s still considered the low season and monsoon season.
Nusa Lembongan is a very small island with a bridge that connects to Nusa Ceningan. Most restaurants are only a few minutes’ walk away, but I’d also suggest renting a scooter to explore the rest of the islands.
Unless you’re planning a long getaway, 2-3 nights is the perfect amount of time to enjoy the luxury and see everything around the island.
Here are a few spots to visit to get you started on your epic island adventure:
Devil’s Tears An oceanfront cove where you can witness powerful waves crashing against the rocks and create stunning splashes.
Jungutbatu Beach A beautiful beach perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the calm, clear waters.
Mahana Point A popular surfing spot with a restaurant where you can enjoy cliff diving and breathtaking ocean views.
Dream Beach: A picturesque beach with golden sands and crystal-clear water, perfect for a relaxing day in paradise.
2. Airbnb: Kecamatan Kuta Utara — Canggu Bali
anggu is all about those good vibes—think endless surf spots, trendy beach clubs, and a “gym, tan, laundry” lifestyle with an array of cafes and restaurants that’ll make any Western foodie’s heart sing. With all the life Canggu brings, it’s nice to have a respite to escape the commotion and relax. Airbnb is widely used internationally and is a great tool for finding accommodations. One hidden gem I came across on the app was Kecamatan Kuta Utara hosted by Stuart!
Stay in serenity
Stuart’s 6 villas are located on the Berawa side of Canggu, tucked between Canggu’s heavily trafficked streets down a narrow alleyway along rice paddy fields. The setup is ideal because you’re right next to long stretches of restaurants, boutique stores, and beach clubs, but you’re shielded from the noise they bring. Each villa is loaded with amenities such as a fully furnished kitchen, a below-ground living area, a dedicated workspace, a private pool, fast Wi-Fi, and more. They also offer long-term stays past 28 days, which is great for digital nomads looking to set roots for a while.
The Perfect Private Get away
The outdoor area was my favorite part of the entire experience. I was able to enjoy my own private pool and choose whether I wanted to soak up the sun or fall deep into a book while enjoying the fresh tropical air in the shade. The built-in daybed came in clutch when I decided to get tattooed, as I was able to enjoy the outside elements without worrying about the sun. This truly was an awesome place to restart, refresh, and relax. Stuart and their staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to my needs. The maid came to clean every 2-3 days, but you’re welcome to let them know your preferences when you message them.
Good eats & drinks around the corner
As I’ve mentioned before, Canggu is home to all sorts of unique and delicious cuisines. The food scene here is heavily influenced by Australian culture, as many of the expats are from the land down under. You can find everything from vegan dishes and smoothie bowls to pizza and Michelin-acclaimed restaurants, all at surprisingly affordable prices.
Here’s a list of restaurants close by:
L’Osteria Pizza e Cucina Canggu Authentic Italian pizza and pasta with a cozy atmosphere.
Nude Cafe A popular spot for healthy eats, great coffee, and a relaxed vibe.
Baked. Berawa Delicious pastries, cakes, and coffee in a charming setting. Don’t miss out on their gochujang eggs benedict!
Note worthy details
The villas are smack dab in the middle of rice paddy fields, which makes access difficult for a normal vehicle—it’s a motorbike or walking alley only. The walk is short, even with luggage being dragged behind you. However, there are parking spots in front of your private villa for a motorbike if you decide to rent one!
Like many areas in Bali, the GPS is notorious for not taking you to the exact spot but rather to the general area of your accommodation. This can often leave you on a hunt from where you’re staying, which can be frustrating. No worries, though—To get to the villas, follow Stuart’s detailed directions as GPS may only get you to the general area. Once you reach the rice paddy fields, look for the signs or landmarks Stuart mentions. You can park your motorbike in the designated spots in front of the villa.
Pricing varies heavily depending on the time of year you visit and which accommodation you choose. When I went, I paid $89 per night. The best time to go is from November to January, when it’s still considered the low season and monsoon season.
3. Oasis By Where next? — Canggu Bali
This location has easily been my favorite place to stay. I loved it so much that I extended my stay from 5 days to 14! Nestled in the heart of Bali’s hotspot and just minutes south of the “Bali Shortcut,” this hidden gem is a haven for both solo travelers and groups looking to unwind and soak up the tropical bliss. From lush greenery to serene spaces, Oasis is your ticket to a slice of heaven on earth. They have everything you could need in a small resort and then some! I’m beyond excited to explore what makes this spot a must-visit on your Bali adventure!
Stay in luxury and absolute comfort
Imagine waking up in a plush bed, surrounded by lush tropical beauty, with a pool view right at your door. Oasis offers the perfect blend of upscale amenities and serene ambiance, ensuring your stay is nothing short of extraordinary. They have three main types of suites, with the top tier being their bungalows. These are right by the pool, and you can climb to the top of your bungalow to chill out in your hammock bed.
Next are the King Suites, also by the pool, set up in a more traditional resort fashion with a dedicated workspace, a spacious open closet, and a massive bathroom. Lastly, there’s where I decided to stay: the Mixed Dorm Room. It’s similar to a hostel where you share a room with three other people, but you still have access to all the amenities, and the rooms are equally luxurious. I booked it to stay social while enjoying paradise. It turned out there were only two other people staying during my time, so I never had more than one roommate at a time.
Upon checking in, the staff will escort you to your room, possibly following behind with your luggage. When you enter, you’ll be greeted with a cold towel and a complimentary welcome beverage—freshly squeezed fruit juice!
I was blown away by all the attention to detail in everything they do here. I could go on for hours about this place, but instead, let’s dive into the amenities.
Unmatched Amenities
There are very few things you’ll need once you settle in and start exploring what they have to offer. Aside from the gorgeous pool and various lounging areas, the fitness and health amenities are top-notch. You can enjoy:

On the lifestyle and luxury side, there are plenty of areas to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy everything in between.
Here are some highlights:
A Mini Movie Theater: Catch a film or binge-watch your favorite shows in a cozy setting.
A Billiards Area: Challenge your friends to a game of billiards and have some fun.
A Dedicated Workspace/Dining Area: A versatile space for catching up on work or enjoying a delicious meal.

Note worthy details
Like a lot of areas in Bali, the GPS is notorious for not taking you to the exact spot but rather to the general area where your accommodation is located. This often leaves you on a hunt for where you’re staying, which can be frustrating. For Oasis, look for its sign hanging on the left side of the road. It is tucked back by a rice field and can be hard to find at first. You’ll know you’ve made it when you see the massive mural on the side of the yoga studio with their logo!
Pricing varies heavily depending on the time of year you visit and which accommodation you choose. When I went, I paid $36 per night (I received a 10% weekly discount). The nicer suites were priced at about $200 per night when I last checked. The best time to visit is from November to January when it’s still considered low and monsoon season.
As I mentioned above, this is a prime location in Canggu. You’re right next to all the hot restaurants, shopping areas, tattoo shops, and beaches.

AIRBNB: Kecamatan Sukawati — Ubud BALI
Situated in the heart of Sukawati, this spot is perfect for those looking to experience the real Bali. Aside from being surrounded by Bali’s famous rice fields, I was just a short drive away from my local guide’s village, vibrant markets, hidden waterfalls, and the town center of Ubud just 15 minutes northwest. The peaceful surroundings offered a perfect balance to the island's bustling tourist spots, while still giving you access to them if desired. Ubud’s nature and local villages provide access to wood carving studios, silversmiths, and batik (traditional Balinese clothing) manufacturers.
stay in rural serenity
Nestled amidst the lush greenery of rice fields, the room had all the aesthetics I would want in a location like this, and a hammock bed that I used daily! The room is spacious and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches blending traditional Balinese elements with modern comfort. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping, enjoying breakfast on my private balcony with a view, and stargazing at night from my hammock bed made my stay the perfect detox from the daily grind.
Relaxing Amenities
My favorite aspects of this rice terrace oasis were the pool, the massive outdoor shower, and the stone bathtub! Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy them every day due to all the fresh tattoos I collected along the way. However, what I experienced on the first day was immaculate. Nothing beats sipping a smoothie or cocktail while chilling in an infinity pool backed by a tropical jungle and surrounded by rice fields. Plus, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, providing in-house massages and daily check-ins to ensure my stay was flawless.
Note worthy details
Like a lot of areas in Bali, the GPS is notorious for not taking you to the exact spot but rather to the general area where your accommodation is located. This often leaves you on a hunt for where you’re staying, which can be frustrating. However, Leon, the host, will send you detailed instructions on how to get here once you book with them. If you’re curious before booking, here is where it is located.
Pricing varies heavily depending on the time of year you visit and which accommodation you choose. When I went, I paid $73 per night. The best time to visit is from November to January when it’s still considered the low season and monsoon season.
This area is a perfect spot to hire a local guide to show you around their villages, the beautiful waters, and more!
