We will be eagerly waiting for you at the airport to pick you up and check you into your accommodation. In the afternoon, after you've had some time to detox from the long haul, your guides and Maalek will welcome you. We will go over all the details of the trip, answer any questions you may have, and enjoy a light meal. Depending on energy levels, we will then head out to your first dinner destination!

For breakfast, we'll delve into Malaysian food and culture with Roti Canai, a favorite served in Mamak restaurants. Afterward, we'll head to KLCC, by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. There, we can snap photos, ascend the tower, and indulge in luxury shopping.

In the afternoon, we'll savor Nasi Lemak, Malaysia's national dish, known for its coconut milk rice and savory flavors. Then, we'll visit fluffed, a renowned café offering modern twists on Malaysian-inspired desserts and drinks.

Later, we'll reconvene at the accommodation before embarking on our final culinary adventure: Bak kut teh. This Hokkien dish features pork simmered in herb-infused broth, served with Youtiao and preserved vegetables, a favorite among the Chinese communit

For breakfast, we'll enjoy Kopitiam toast and local breakfast delights en route to Batu Caves, a renowned tourist spot in Kuala Lumpur and a Tamil Hindu pilgrimage site. Admire the 140-foot Murugan Statue and ascend 272 stairs to explore the caves and temples.

Afterward, we'll indulge in Lemang, a Malay sticky rice with Rendang. Then, we'll dine at a famous Chinese restaurant renowned for its gigantic river prawns.

In the afternoon, we'll visit Royal Selangor, known for its innovative pewter manufacturing. Explore its museum and craft your own pewter accessory.

Finally, we'll conclude the day at Xin Yee Fatt, a traditional Chinese restaurant favored by locals, for a shared family-style meal.

Prepare for a stroll as we explore another renowned destination: Chinatown and Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur's heart. Indulge in a diverse culinary journey, sampling beef noodles, mee goreng, and kaya toast. Amidst the food adventures, peruse the different shops r loved ones or keepsakes. In the late afternoon, return to freshen up before an upscale evening. Experience dinner at Dewakan, a Michelin-starred gem. Named "food from God," it's a tribute to Malaysian flavors, sourced sustainably and locally. Every element, from ingredients to handmade dinnerware by local artisans, reflects Malaysia's culinary richness. Prepare for an unforgettable gastronomic journey, honoring the essence of Malaysian cuisine

Today, we'll head to Georgetown, the capital of the Malaysian state of Penang. Georgetown is filled with rich history, renowned for its excellent Malay Chinese dishes, and famous for its unique colonial architecture.

For breakfast, we'll make a stop in the city of Ipoh to experience more Chinese breakfast favorites!

Once we arrive in Georgetown, we'll take a cable car to the top of Penang Hill, where we can enjoy an almost 360-degree view of the state of Penang and its beautiful oceanfront cityscape.

In the evening, it's time for round 2 of experiencing a modern take on Asian dining at Communal Table by Gen. They offer a creative and playful approach to their style of cooking, focusing on seasonal flavors, locally sourced produce, and fresh ingredients. Get ready for an adventurous culinary experience!

Today, we'll start with a light breakfast brought to you, as later in the day, you'll have the opportunity to cook up a number of authentic Nyonya dishes yourself! We are honored to meet and learn the secrets of cooking Nyonya-style food (Malay Chinese cuisine) from Pearly Kee, a well-known teacher in the local cuisine. She will guide us through the morning markets, educating us about various fresh ingredients, their flavors, and the purposes they serve in dishes. After that, it's your turn to cook and learn how Nyonyas infuse so much love and time into their dishes.

In the evening, we'll take a stroll around downtown Georgetown to admire its beautiful architecture. Along the way, you'll be introduced to Cendol and Char Kuey Teow, two of Penang's most famous and beloved dishes.

In the morning, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the historic city. You'll have the opportunity to visit ancient Chinese and Hindu temples, as well as explore the various local shops and tradesmen in the area. This will be a great opportunity to capture and immerse yourself into the cultural richness of the city.

In the afternoon, we'll bid farewell to the beautiful oceanside city and make our way to Malacca, an ancient fishing village turned city. Malacca is known for its fascinating history and vibrant cultural heritage. Get ready to discover the charm and unique atmosphere of this historical destination.

Malacca, once a fishing village and international trade center in the fourteenth century, is now known as the historical city of Malaysia, offering a plethora of unique history and ruins for us to explore!

The surrounding region is abundant with fruit and coconut plantations, which means we'll have the chance to indulge in famous coconut shakes made with fresh coconuts and coconut ice cream. Additionally, this area is known for producing some of the best-tasting palm sugar in Malaysia, providing ample opportunities for us to purchase.

During our time in Malacca, we'll have the opportunity to experience various cuisines. One of the many highlights will be trying Pakistani-style butter chicken, cheese naan, and tandoori chicken. These dishes are prepared right in front of you as you dine, and the flavorful chutneys accompanying them are truly worth every bite!

After enjoying an eventful evening meal, we'll head back to Kuala Lumpur to rest and prepare for an exciting day ahead tomorrow!

For a truly local experience, we're headed to ICC Pudu, one of Kuala Lumpur's massive hawker centers, for breakfast. Here, we will share legendary street food and some of my favorite drinks to start the day.

In the afternoon, we'll visit Pavillion and Lot 10, two of Malaysia's award-winning shopping malls located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's shopping paradise. With over 700 retail stores and restaurants spread across 10 levels and 8 themed precincts, it promises a unique and luxurious shopping experience. We'll also indulge in some of my favorite bubble tea and enjoy snacks from the food court.

In the evening, we'll retreat back to our accommodation and for dinner, we'll have a hot pot, which holds a special place in my heart as one of my absolute favorite memories from visiting Malaysia. We'll share this meal with my local friends, fostering fellowship and providing a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and ask questions about the local culture and cuisine.

For breakfast, we're headed to one of my favorite dim sum restaurants that serves arguably my favorite dish, Chee cheong fun. I assure you, you'll be asking for seconds of this delicious dish!

In the afternoon, we'll take it easy and explore one of Kuala Lumpur's mountainside shopping centers, Gunting. To reach it, we'll take a 10-minute sky lift ride, enjoying scenic views along the way.

In the evening, get ready for Kuala Lumpur's longest night market. Here, we'll put your Malay language skills and ordering abilities to the test! From local cuisine to new, fun, and trendy dishes, as well as clothing and other items, we'll explore it all. Along the way, you'll have the chance to pick out what you want to try for yourself or share with your fellow foodies.

On our final day in the tropical cities of Malaysia, it only makes sense to go back to the roots and revisit variations of the national dishes. In the morning, we'll indulge in two contrasting dishes: Char Siu (barbecue pork) and roasted pork. Afterwards, we'll visit a famous spot known for their take on Nasi Lemak, a beloved Malaysian dish.

With our stomachs full, we'll make our way to PutraJaya, Malaysia's administrative center. Politics aside, this place is home to some of the most beautiful architecture in government buildings, providing a feast for the eyes.

To conclude the evening and share our last meal together, we'll celebrate and reflect on all the fun we had at my all-time favorite Taiwanese dessert café.

It’s time to say our goodbyes and head to the airport. You are of course welcome to stay longer in the beautiful country of Malaysia and we would be more than happy to suggest more locations to explore!
